What is Love?

Love in no way shape or form means to be romantic. Love is as platonic and natrual as a sneeze or a cough. To show grace. To be patient. To have self value and self love. These are the key factors in being a loving human. We spend too much time tolerating one another instead of understanding and working with each other expecially when African lives are in the balance and conversation. This Story is of a boy deprived of a full father figure and unsure of his mothers love both problems he deals with to this day. Before and after his parents divorce he has lived comfortably not having to experience or deal with the ealry charecter development that poverty holds. Taught but lacks discipline, Practices patients but is always rushed, Shows grace and is only reciprocated on occasion. He wants to express himself in a way he feels safe. He knows this world is against his people and most are against himself. He struggles to navigate this "mad world" with the information of few and the mind of many. You start this story as Heru Bey in his room making music. You have enough songs to drop a mixtape but you want to make sure you arent rushing so you ask your folks and friends. "My father will always support my dreams and wants regardless of what he thinks about it" You send send the mixtape over After about two and a half hours you recieve a call from your dad Dad: "Peace son I listened to the mixtape twice so I could get a better listening expierience, if this music is really what you want to do I think you should go for it. The music industry isnt like how it was back in my day so theres been major changes but I believe you got what it take to do anything you put your mind to. Just be careful they are rutheless" Heru Bey: "Thank you dad I apreciate the encouragement, how did you like the mixtape?" Dad: "I enjoyed it son, I liked a lot of the beats you used and the lyrics were spoken well and im sayin, if this is what you want to do you can do it. Heru Bey: "Thanks a lot that gives me a lot of reassurance"

"I know they don't like listining to my music but I think that makes this a better reason to send it." I send over the mixtape to my friend. About 5 hours later he hits me back. Friend 1: "Yo didnt listen to all your tracks but they sounded goo for the most part" Heru Bey: "Ayy thanks man what did you like about it the most if you dont mind?" Friend 1: "Um probably that first song, really good wordplay there" Heru Bey: "Thanks for the input my man, sounds like we on the up and up, finna drop this soon for sure" Friend 1: "Yeah no problem peace fam" "The first song doesnt even have any lyrics :("

"I know my friends will at least give me critism, cause if there isn't any I know im doing somethin wrong" I send the mixtape over. My friend hits me back in less than an hour Friend 2 "Yo yo yo, I listened to your tracks and my ears burn..." Heru Bey: "Yeah i made sure to mix in a little bit a bounce dat ass, might make your ears feel like they got hit by some hot doo doo." Friend 2 "RESPECTFULLY, nah im just playing lol (laughing out loud) I listened to it and that jawn was fire, I just think you could have mixed it better, but other than that you need to drop that now, or ima send the swat after you." Heru Bey: "Alright so we rockin wit it? Say less thanks a ton fam."

You decided to drop the mixtape. The second week of promoting your mixtape a Studio hit your line through social media. Berserk Records: "Excited for the release!" "~YOOOOOOOOO this feels like 2k career mode rn~" Heru Bey: "Thank you means a lot!" Berserk Records: "No problem you got talent for sure, how many Spotify followers you got." Heru Bey: "Still got ways to go, I only have about 80 monthly listeners and 104 followers'" Berserk Records: "Ah I see, hit me up a week after you drop your stuff. Maybe we can work somethin out." ~Im going to take my friend(2's) advice and re-mix this project quality over quantity amiright~ 2 months go by of staying inside working on finding the perfect sound for the mix. A week after completing the mix you promote your music on Tik Tok. People are liking and veiwig your promo more than you thought. "~You gotta be kidding me, this is a blessing~" In only 5 hours you find that your spotify has almost doubled in size. From 104 followers to 183 followers.
