Princesskitten and Snowbunny

Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of Mirabella, lived (text-colour:#4dabf7)+(background:(hsl:209,0.7538,0.3824,0.55))[ [[Queen Bunny]] ]. She possesed the power to control the weather, and her icy heart kept the kingdom in a constant snow. Because of this, she was called SnowBunny. Tucked away in a tavern in the heart of the kingdom lived (text-colour:#f783ac)+(background:(hsl:288,0.6667,0.5765,0.55))[ [[Kitten]], ] a tavernmaid with the powers of a seductress. <img src="https://artscorps.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/white-castle_092414949-1.jpg" "width=200" height=400">

Now, Queen Bunny didn't believe in love. In fact, her heart was so cold that her kingdom was kept in a constant snow, and her subjects started to grow unsettled and angry. One day, a horde of protesters swarmed the castle, begging Queen Bunny to release the Kingdom from it's endless winter. Queen Bunny considered. She could either (text-colour:#5c7cfa)[ [[Silence]] ] the protesters or (text-colour:#845ef7)[ [[hear them out]] ] and come up with a solution.

Kitten started her day as any other, in love with life and life in love with her as well. Her powers affected all those around her, and because of this, she was loved by everyone. The tavern she tended to was always bustling with people trying to escape the constant blizzard outside. But today, Kitten heard talk of a protest against the Queen. At first, she brushed the news aside and went about her day. But then she received a (text-colour:#e03131)[[strange proposal]]....

Queen Bunny decided that her nerves had been pressed enough, and she would not stand for this insubordination. Just as she was about to stand from her throne and silence the protesters, the throne room doors slammed open. Standing there, uninvited, was a woman with short pink hair and an outfit not meant for the constant cold temperatures outside. She recognized her as the commander's bride-to-be, Kitten. Although the queen remembered something about the engagement being broken off. Kitten stood there, seeming confused and out of place. Queen Bunny considered her options. Should she [[listen to her]] OR [[throw her out]]

Bunny decided to discuss the grievances of the protesters. She felt annoyed by the disturbance, and decided to have some fun with her subjects. Queen Bunny opened her castle doors and gave a (text-colour:#4dabf7)+(background:(hsl:230,0.5731,0.4961,0.7))[ [[royal speech]]].

And they lived, more or less, happily ever after. Queen Bunny eventually married Kitten, making her Princess Kitten of Mirabella. And so is told the tale of Princess Kitten and Snow Bunny, the ones who saved Mirabella from eternal winter. Back to [[Once Upon A Time]]

And so the tale goes of the defeat of Queen Bunny and how Princess Kitten came to reign. The Kingdom of Mirabella returned to a natural rotation of the seasons and the kingdom lived, more or less, happily ever after. Back to [[Once Upon A Time]]

(text-colour:#845ef7)["Behold, Subjects of Mirabella. I, Queen Bunny, have a heart as cold as ice. It is something of a curse, as I cannot fall in love. And, you see, that is the only way to lift this winter off of the kingdom. The only thing I can do for you all is strengthen our kingdom's winter industries and hope for the best. But violence and riots are no way to lift Mirabella from winter. ] The Queen turned and walked back though the castle doors, motioning at her guards for them to be closed behind her. She sighed, feeling the pain of her heart in her chest. Sitting back in the throne room, she was startled by the doors slamming open. Standing there, uninvited, was a woman with short pink hair and an outfit not meant for the constant cold temperatures outside. She recognized her as the commander's bride-to-be, Kitten. Although the queen remembered something about the engagement being broken off. Kitten stood there, seeming confused and out of place. Queen Bunny considered her options. Should she [[listen to her]] OR [[throw her out]]

The commander of the Queen's knights entered the tavern with his eyes set on Kitten. He knew of her gift; that of a seductress. Because of this, he came to her with a proposal. (text-colour:#f8f9fa)["Seduce the Queen"] he said.(text-colour:#f8f9fa)[ "Get her to let her guard down enough for me to kill her, and this endless winter will be over."] The commander explained that he would take the throne when the queen died, and the subjects would be grateful enough to not question the turn of events. Kitten considered her options. She could (text-style:"underline")+(text-colour:#51cf66)[ [[accept the proposal]]]. After all, she was engaged to be married to the commander. Or, she could (text-colour:#51cf66)+(text-style:"underline")[[reject the proposal]]. If she did this, though, she may as well be rejecting his hand in marriage too.

Kitten went with the commander to the castle, ready to overthrow the Queen. The commander waved aside the guards and told her he would be back. Kitten walked into the castle, easily following the trail of ice to the throne room, where she opened the doors to see Queen Bunny sitting on her throne, surprised to see an uninvited guest. Kitten unleashed her power on the queen, and waited for her face to change from its stoic stare. But nothing. The Queen stared at her, getting irritated. Kitten stood, waiting, hoping the commander had some sort of plan. The Queen raised her hands, drawing on her power. The Queen wanted to [[throw her out]]!!

Kitten informed the commander that she was rejecting his proposal and breaking off their engagement. She decided that she would go to the protest against the queen herself, where she heard rumors the queen was giving a speech. Go hear the(text-style:"underline")[ [[Queen's Speech]] ]

Kitten let the crowd dissipate and walked up to the castle doors with a plan. She marveled at her power as the guards swooned and opened the doors for her. She felt confident in her ability to save the kingdom of Mirabella using her power. She was going to [[seduce the queen]].

Kitten walked into the castle, easily following the trail of ice to the throne room, where she opened the doors to see Queen Bunny sitting on her throne, surprised to see an uninvited guest. Kitten unleashed her power on the queen, and waited for her face to change from its stoic stare. But nothing. The queen tilted her head at Kitten inquisitively. "Well, is there a reason you're here?" Kitten became [[nervous]].

Why wasn't her power working? The Queen seemed unfazed by Kitten's powers, and now Kitten stood feet away from the Queen, finally taking her in. Her legs felt weak. The queen, underneath all her pretentious royal garments, had a sweet, almost shy face. Kitten's mind was blank. What did she have to say to the queen if she couldn't seduce her? What did she have to say at all to this woman, who held herself with so much grace but couldn't hide the most mournful energy that she carried? Kitten was drawn to her, but for a moment, she forgot all about the kingdom and the winter and thought only of (text-style:"underline")[ [[getting closer to the queen]] ]

Kitten took a deep breath and did a small curtsy.(text-colour:#ff6b6b)[ "Your majesty, I just came to seek an audience with you about this terrible winter the kingdom is stuck in. I understand that it's out of your control really, but I wanted to offer myself as a friend."] The Queen looked taken aback for a moment. (text-colour:#845ef7)["A friend? Not many have ever had the pure desire to be my friend without any ulterior motives. I find it hard to believe you do." ] Kitten nodded and smiled. (text-colour:#ff6b6b)["Well, I can't say that I came here without any ulterior motives, but I can say that I'm genuine in my wish to get to know you better."] Queen Bunny shifted uncomfortably. It seemed, at last, that Kitten was making her feel things other than heartbreak. Kitten noticed this, and although she had the powers of a seductress, her powers did not work on the queen. This was nothing but a pure, instinctual connection. One might even call it love. (text-style:"underline")[ [[And so they lived....]] ]

Queen Bunny spoke. "Well, is there a reason you're here?" Kitten took a few steps, (text-style:"underline")[ [[getting closer to the queen]] ]

Queen Bunny used her powers to push kitten out of the room with a blizzard of snow. She relaxed, feeling powerful. In that moment that she let her guard down, she was ambushed by the commander and a rogue group of knights. In the chaos, a spell was cast on her, rendering her unable to use her powers. A coup had been staged. Queen bunny was stripped from the throne by the commander, and as she was being dragged out of the room, she saw Kitten take her place on Bunny's throne. They would forever be [[Enemies]].
