About the class: The Hawk Foundation for Research and Education in African Culture, based in Olympia, Washington, brings master drummers to engage in a well-researched pedagogy of community healing through African drumming.

Through history, Yoruba stories and classic drum rhythms, this class has reconnected students to the drum, the past, and themselves.
