SUMMARY:Dance Educators Association of Washington Spring Conference
DESCRIPTION:Dance communities thrive when the people within them are supported. GROW was created to offer a space for reflection, learning, and connection—where educators, students, and community members can come together to share experiences and strengthen the future of dance education. Shaped by community feedback, this gathering reflects our belief in growing together through collaboration and care.\nAttendees can expect a day of workshops, discussion, and shared learning centered on sustaining ourselves, our classrooms, and our broader dance communities. Together, attendees will explore community-building, leadership, wellness, and practical tools that support long-term, meaningful engagement in dance.\nThis conference marks our first annual Spring Conference, created in response to feedback from community seeking a new seasonal rhythm for gathering and connection.\nThere is a scholarship available for this conference, which closes on March 15. You can learn more about the scholarship here. ( https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTVHYt8SdVptnascUHlB6aJe6e3OU3nX9DuslL_1be0txDkA/viewform )\n \n

SUMMARY:Arts, Heritage, and Science Week
DESCRIPTION:This is an exciting week-long event that brings together arts, heritage, and science leaders, and cultural professionals from across Washington state. AHS Week is hosted by Inspire Washington, Washington Museum Association, Washington State Historical Society, and ArtsWA.\nThis is a great opportunity for advocates to talk with their legislators about statewide arts, heritage, and science issues and local concerns, thank them for their support, and share specific stories and highlights from our work in our communities, schools, and venues statewide. Your presence along with many other cultural advocates from across the state helps legislators know who we are when we talk about the importance of arts, heritage, and science in our communities. With newly elected legislators and the reshuffling of legislating positions, this is a particularly important year to join your peers in Olympia or virtually.\nYou can learn more and register to advocate here.
